How to Choose the Right Category and Brand on Vinted

Accurate catalogue fields help buyers filter listings and reduce confusion. Select only values supported by the item and Vinted’s available options.

Choose a Vinted category, brand and size based on the actual item and available catalogue options—not guesses or keywords.

Choose the category that describes the item

Start with the product itself, then choose the most specific current Vinted path. A football shirt, card lot and handbag need different fields. Do not select a popular but inaccurate category for visibility. If no option fits, pause and check marketplace guidance rather than forcing a match.

Verify brand and size

Read the sewn-in label, maker’s mark or reliable purchase record. A logo alone may not establish a brand. If no accurate brand option exists, use the suitable unbranded or other option. For size, use the label and correct category system; explain fit separately and measure with a tape instead of guessing a conversion.

Review all fields together

Confirm category, brand, size, condition, price and photos as one listing. A correct title cannot fix an inaccurate category. If an AI tool suggests fields, compare them with the label and actual item. Follow Vinted’s branded-item photo guidance and the listing writing guide.
