Plan a Vinted selling pause by checking holiday mode, live orders, listing visibility and inventory records before and after your break.
Check what the current setting changes
Vinted lists holiday mode among its listing-management controls. The exact screen and behaviour can change, so read the in-app explanation before enabling it. Check whether your listings are hidden from buyers, whether buyers can still message, and what happens when you switch the setting off. Do not assume the setting cancels existing orders or changes a listing’s underlying identity.
Handle open orders first
Review pending sales, shipping deadlines, buyer questions, returns and any open disputes before you leave. An existing order may still need action while you are away. Follow the order’s shipping instructions and contact the buyer through Vinted if you cannot meet the deadline; check whether any extension is available and accepted.
Record hidden inventory separately
For stock tracking, distinguish published and available listings from holiday-hidden, manually hidden, draft, sold and under-review items. A hidden listing can still correspond to an item you own and intend to sell later, but it is not currently visible to buyers. Keep it in inventory while excluding it from a visible-active count if that is how your dashboard defines active.
When returning, switch the setting off in Vinted and confirm a sample of listings is visible and correctly categorised. Then refresh your records and reconcile any sales or status changes that happened during the pause.
