A repeatable way to price Vinted items using comparable listings, condition, costs, margin and room for offers.
Compare like with like
Match brand or model, size, condition, era, colour and completeness. A new-with-tags item is not a fair comparison for a worn one. Note asking prices and any visible evidence of completed sales; a high asking price does not show what buyers are paying. Remove obvious outliers and revisit the comparison as the market changes.
For collectibles, compare exact set, number, language, finish and condition—not just the franchise name.
Know your minimum
For resale stock, record acquisition cost and any direct cleaning, repair or packaging costs you bear. Decide the minimum return you need before considering offers. This is a planning calculation, not a tax calculation. Keep personal sales and trading stock records distinct where appropriate.
Vinted’s UK help currently says standard sellers do not pay a selling fee; buyers see Buyer Protection and shipping charges. Check each order’s own breakdown because charges and options can change.
Set and review the asking price
Choose whether you are open to offers and set a price consistent with your comparison and minimum. Do not inflate a price just to advertise a discount. If interest is low, inspect photos, title, category and condition before cutting the price. Make a deliberate change and record it.
