Work through these listing checks
1. Make the first photo easy to understand
Use a clear full-item image first, then add useful angles, labels and close-ups. Show wear or defects directly. Avoid filters that change the colour and ensure the item is well lit.
2. Make the title and category specific
Use accurate words that describe the item, such as its type, brand, size or style when those details are known. Select the closest correct category and do not add unrelated popular terms to attract clicks.
3. Check condition, size and details
Compare the item with the platform’s condition definitions. Include relevant measurements or label information where useful, and disclose flaws in both the description and photos.
4. Review the price in context
Compare similar items while accounting for brand, size, condition and completeness. Remember the displayed buyer total may also include postage and Buyer Protection, so the item price is not the entire checkout cost.
5. Make the description useful
Answer the questions a buyer is likely to have: what the item is, how it fits, what condition it is in and what is included. Keep it factual and avoid claims you cannot verify.
6. Check whether the item can be listed
Review Vinted’s catalogue rules and current terms. A listing may be hidden or removed if it does not comply. Avoid repeatedly deleting and relisting or using bulk relisting workflows unless Vinted’s current rules allow that use.
7. Give buyers time and keep information current
Demand varies by item, season, size and price. Keep the listing accurate, respond through Vinted and update availability if the item is no longer for sale. Paid promotion can add cost and does not guarantee a sale.
These checks are based on Vinted’s current photo guidance, condition guidance and UK terms. Platform features and rules can change.
Use tools to keep drafts consistent
Listel can help prepare and organise listing drafts. Review each suggested detail yourself, especially brand, condition, measurements, price and any flaws.
