Start with a clear first photo
Make the first image a full view of the item so a buyer can quickly see what is for sale. Vinted recommends using your own photos, avoiding collages and showing the item in natural light without filters.
Photo checklist
- Show the complete item in the first image.
- Add useful angles so shape and details are visible.
- Photograph labels, logos, care details or distinctive features where relevant.
- Use natural light where possible and keep colours true to life.
- Show wear, marks or damage clearly instead of hiding them.
- Keep personal details and identifying information out of the frame.
Use images you have the right to use
Photograph the item yourself. Avoid stock images, watermarked images and pictures copied from other websites: they may not represent the item’s actual condition and can raise rights concerns.
Match the description to the photos
Describe the item accurately and mention visible flaws. Choose the condition that best reflects its current state. If a detail is uncertain, verify it before publishing rather than relying on an AI-generated suggestion.
Make a repeatable photo workflow
For multiple items, use a consistent background and capture the same core views for each one. Keep each item’s photo group together, then check that the photos belong to the correct draft before publishing.
Vinted’s photo guidance recommends informative images and shows examples of what to include. Its condition guidance explains why flaws should be shown and described. Check the current rules before listing.
Can Listel help?
Listel can help organise item photos into listing drafts and suggest details for you to review. You remain responsible for checking photos, condition, description and category before publishing.
