Vinted Item Condition Explained: New With Tags, Very Good, Good and Satisfactory

Vinted asks you to rate every item’s condition. Buyers filter by it and use it to judge your description, so choosing accurately protects you from disputes as well as helping the item sell.

The five condition options

  • New with tags: unused, with the original tags or packaging still attached.
  • New without tags: unused and unworn, but the tags or packaging have gone.
  • Very good: used a few times, with little or no sign of wear.
  • Good: used, with light signs of wear, such as slight fading or minor bobbling.
  • Satisfactory: clearly used, with visible wear or flaws that you should describe and photograph.

Check Vinted’s own guidance for the exact wording it currently uses.

Be honest, then be specific

Choose the lower option if you are torn between two, then say why in the description: “Good condition. Light bobbling under the arms, shown in photo 5.” A buyer who has seen the flaw has little to complain about, while an undisclosed one can lead to a return.

How Listel handles condition

Listel suggests a condition from your photos, but a photo cannot show everything, so treat it as a first guess. Condition is a required field, and an item is only marked Ready once one is chosen. Always check it against the item. See bulk upload and the checklist.
