Vinted Account Banned? How to Understand the Notice and Appeal

A blocked account is stressful, but creating a second account or repeatedly contacting support can make matters harder. Start with the notice Vinted sent and follow the official route.

What to do if your Vinted account is temporarily or permanently blocked: find the official decision, check the reason and prepare a clear evidence-based appeal.

First check whether it is a review or a ban

Read the message in your Vinted inbox and any email sent from Vinted. A notice saying an account is under review is different from a formal moderation decision. Check whether you can still log in, what functions are restricted, and whether an end date or appeal link is shown. Do not rely on a message forwarded by another person or a link in an unexpected email; open Vinted directly and check the in-app notification.

Vinted’s Help Centre says temporary bans may have an end date shown at login and may last 7–30 days depending on the reason. Do not assume those timelines apply to every review or restriction; follow the information on your own account.

Prepare a focused appeal

If you believe the decision is mistaken, use the appeal link in the official moderation notice. Explain the specific decision you are challenging, give a short factual timeline and attach evidence that addresses the stated reason. For a listing issue, this might include original photos, a clear label image, proof of purchase where relevant, or evidence that an item was removed or corrected. Keep copies of the notice and your appeal.

Vinted states that an appeal can be submitted once and within six months of the moderation notice. Check the current Help Centre instructions before submitting, because appeal paths and deadlines can change.

Avoid actions that can complicate the case

Do not create another account to get around a restriction, repost an item that Vinted has removed, or move a transaction off-platform while the issue is unresolved. If the notice concerns a specific listing, review the linked Catalogue Rule and correct your process going forward. If you think someone accessed your account, secure your email first, change credentials through Vinted’s official app or site, and contact support using the in-app channel.

What to include in your records

  • The date and exact wording of the notice.
  • The listing ID or item involved, if stated.
  • Photos, labels or records that support your explanation.
  • The appeal text and confirmation that it was submitted.
