Vinted Seller Fees, Postage and Costs Explained for UK Sellers

An item’s asking price is only one part of a transaction. Check the current order breakdown and distinguish marketplace charges from your own costs.

Prepared by Listel · Updated 23 October 2026

Understand Vinted transaction costs, buyer-paid postage and Buyer Protection, and which costs resellers should track.

Understand who pays each charge

Vinted’s UK help currently says standard sellers do not pay fees to upload or sell, and receive the item payment in their Vinted Balance after the order completes. Buyers see Buyer Protection and shipping at checkout. The Buyer Protection fee can vary by item and order, so do not promise a fixed total based only on your listing price.

Follow the shipping details in the order

Vinted’s help says buyers pay shipping and choose from available methods; sellers receive the generated label. Cost depends on parcel size and locations. Pack carefully, follow the carrier and parcel size in the order, and track any packaging cost you incur. Do not substitute a shipping method without checking the order rules.

Calculate your item economics

Track purchase cost, direct costs, sale proceeds, refunds and returned stock. Revenue is not profit. Check Vinted’s current seller fee explanation, Buyer Protection fee page and shipping guide. See how to price items.
