What to do after a Vinted sale: confirm the order, use the selected shipping method, pack the item and keep dispatch records.
Start from the order screen
Open the order in Vinted and check the item, buyer-selected delivery option, parcel size, carrier and deadline. Vinted’s UK shipping guidance says the buyer chooses from available delivery methods and that the seller receives a Vinted-generated prepaid label for integrated shipping. Do not use a different carrier or label unless the order instructions and current Vinted rules allow it.
Pack the exact item safely
Match the order to your inventory code and listing photos before packing. Check that the item is clean, complete and in the condition described. Protect it against movement, moisture and handling; use packaging suitable for the item and carrier. For a bundle, check every sold listing is included and protect fragile pieces separately.
Keep the dispatch receipt or tracking confirmation until the transaction is complete. Record the dispatch date and update your stock status so the sold item does not remain available in your own inventory.
Watch the deadline and tracking
Vinted currently states that sellers generally have five business days to ship after an order. Its Help Centre says a deadline extension may be requested in some cases and must be accepted by the buyer. Check the order’s own deadline because exceptions or service details can vary. If a carrier issue occurs, contact Vinted through the order rather than promising an outcome you cannot control.
Close out the order
When delivery completes, check the order status and payment balance. If an order is cancelled, returned or disputed, record that separately instead of treating it as a completed sale. Use the Vinted shipping guide and see how pending and available balance work.
