What to Put for Brand and Colour on Vinted When an Item Has No Brand

Vinted asks for a brand and a colour on most listings, which causes trouble when an item has no label or is hard to describe in one colour. Here is how to handle both.

When there is no brand

Choose Unbranded if the item has no brand label, is handmade, or you cannot identify the maker. Do not guess a brand from the style: a wrong brand is misleading and can get a listing removed. If a label is partly worn, look for a care or size tag with the brand, or compare with the manufacturer’s other products before choosing.

Choosing colours

Vinted lets you choose up to two colours. Pick the main colour first, then the second most noticeable one if the item clearly has two. For patterned items choose the dominant colours, not every shade. Photograph in daylight so what buyers see matches what you chose.

Why these fields matter

Brand and colour are search filters. An item with the wrong brand or colour is hidden from buyers filtering by what you did not select, and Vinted will not let you publish with the colour left empty.

How Listel treats them

Listel suggests a brand and up to two colours from your photos. Both are required wherever Vinted needs them, and “Unbranded” counts as a valid brand. If a category does not use a colour or brand, Listel hides the field. An item stays marked Review until the required ones are filled in. See the category and brand guide.
