A research method for finding Vinted categories and brands with demand, comparing listings responsibly and avoiding guaranteed-seller claims.
Look for evidence, not a universal list
Search Vinted for the category or brand you are considering. Compare number and quality of similar listings, price ranges and any visible signs of completed sales. A crowded page can mean demand, competition or both. Likes and asking prices are interest signals, not proof of a sale.
Compare genuinely similar items
Match model, size, condition, colour, season and included parts. A popular brand can still be hard to sell if the style is less sought after, damaged or priced above comparable items. For trading cards, compare exact set, number, language, finish and condition. Record search date, examples and a maximum purchase cost.
Check eligibility and authenticity
Before sourcing, check that the item type is allowed and can be accurately described. Vinted prohibits counterfeit items and other catalogue-rule violations. Do not buy an item because a logo looks familiar if you cannot verify it. Use the current Vinted catalogue rules.
Track your own purchase cost, sale price and time in stock. Your records will become more useful than a generic “top brands” list. See the pricing guide.
